The ART behind the illustrations of Ettie from Erie: Sailing
Designing Ettie from Erie was such a challenge and so much fun! I wanted to add more than the feel of simple digital illustrations, but dive back into hand-painted collage pieces. Being as Ettie was an amazing painter and artist, it only seemed right to place brush strokes and cut paper in the book inspired by her. I have all the original hand-drawn sketches I used to create the illustrations’ beginnings. I hope you can see a glimpse of the process here.
